Summary:Pablo Casals, the famous Spanish cellist and conductor, was in London on September 29 1963 to conduct a performance of his oratorio 'El Pessebre'. Accompanied by his young wife Marta, the 86-year old conductor arrived at Hammersmith Town Hall to conduct the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and was greeted by the famous British conductor Sir Adrian Boult.
