  • Story Text:U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter hosted an honor cordon to welcome Qatar's Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed al-Attiyah to the Pentagon on Wednesday (May 18).
    Qatar is home to the Al Udeid Air Base, located near Doha, where more than U.S. 9,000 service members and civilians live and work to support the fight against Islamic State, according to reports.
