Office employee Huang Ling, who also runs in marathons and does kayaking said planking was good to build up core strength.
"(Planking) is very helpful for my daily training and is helpful to improve my core strength. When I finish doing each plank, I can expect a more beautiful, better and more confident self. I feel very good," said Huang, who finished 10 minutes and 4 seconds.
"I feel like doing plank is beneficial for physical coordination, which is also helpful for fitness development. I do planking every day as it's not restricted to venue and facilities, so I think it's very good. More important is that I feel much healthier after I've been doing (planks)," said 36-year-old Zheng, who started six months ago.
Mao Weidong, the new planking Guinness World Record holder and former international world record holder George Hood were also at the event.
Mao set a new record on Saturday (May 14) spending eight hours, 1 minute and 1 second on his forearms and toes. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
