- Date: 12th July 1973
- Summary: 1. GV PAN & GV Sydney skyline and Sydney Harbour Bridge (2 shots) (MUTE) 0.19 2. CU Mr. Zvobogo speaking: 1.25 ZVOBOGO: "I did not want to believe it for the last 15 years. I have been one of the strongest campaigners for a peaceful resolution of the conflict. But Ian Smith has said he will never sit down with the African people to talk about this. So I am just also now beginning to realise that only arms will liberate that country." QUESTION: "What happens to you personally if you go back to your home country?" ZVOBOGO: "Personally, if I return to my home country, Ian Smith will probably put me on trial for the first time and will probably succeed as the law stands in getting me jailed for many years -- at least for 40, years. Or I could actually get a death penalty for aiding or suggesting that it is desirable to overthrow his regime, which he calls the constitutionally elected government. It's not constitutionally elected and he knows it. He overthrew the constitution when he declared UDI and has been illegal ever since."
