- Story Text: Switzerland and Sweden fans braved pouring rain in St Petersburg on Tuesday to see their teams' meeting in the World Cup Round of 16.
The St Petersburg fan zone was unusually empty as intermittent strong rains struck, but Switzerland and Sweden fans were still determined to cheer their teams.
Switzerland fans Lutz Karn and Nick Bossart hoped goalkeeper Yann Sommer, midfielder Granit Xhaka and striker Xherdan Shaqiri would take the team to the quarter-finals.
The Bergstrom family from Sweden, who took the boat across the Baltic Sea to watch the match, said some rain wouldn't dampen their spirits.
Sweden are the underdogs going into the match which kicks off at St Petersburg Stadium at 1400 GMT. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
