Ten years ago on July 7, 2005 four suicide bombers blew themselves up on London's public transport network during the busy morning commute.
Fifty two people were killed, as well as the four bombers during the attacks on three tube trains and one bus.
At 0850am, three bombs were detonated within 50 seconds of each other on a train running between Liverpool Street Station and Aldgate, another on a train which had just left Edgware Road and on a third train travelling between Kings Cross and Russell Square.
Almost an hour later at 0947am, a fourth suicide bomber blew himself up on a bus at Tavistock Square, close to Kings Cross station.
Bombers Mohammad Sidique Khan, Shehzad Tanweer, Germaine Lindsay and Hasib Hussain were all British Islamists. Three were British born sons of Pakistani immmigrants, while Lindsay was a convert born in Jamaica.
On Tuesday (July 7) Prime Minister David Cameron and London Mayor Boris Johnson will attend a service at 0850 local time (0750GMT) at the 7/7 memorial in Hyde Park. A commemoration service will be held at St Paul's Cathedral and in the afternoon families of those killed and survivors will hold another service at the Hyde Park memorial. - Copyright Holder: FILE REUTERS (CAN SELL)
