  • Story Text: A man was found dead at Actress Demi Moore's house early Sunday morning (July 19), police said.
    The 21-year-old male drowned in the swimming pool at the actress' Beverly Hills home around 4:20 a.m. PT, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed.
    Sgt. Barry Montgomery of the LAPD said police were called to Moore's house at 4:50 am local time. He said the fire department treated the man, who was found unresponsive at the scene, where he was later pronounced dead.
    "Earlier this morning around 4:50 am, officers from LAPD received a 911 call of a possible drowning victim behind me here in the 9700 block of Oak Pass road. Upon their arrival they were met by LA Fire Department paramedics who stated they had treated a male victim who appeared to be the victim of a drowning. Although they tried valiantly, they were unable to revive him and he was pronounced dead here at the scene. Further investigation revealed that earlier in the evening there was a small gathering at the residence which did involve swimming in the pool. And prior to that gathering ending, several witnesses stated they located and found the victim in the pool, unresponsive," Montgomery said.
    He added that there was no homicide investigation, as there was no evidence of foul play.
    "At this time, the preliminary investigation revealed that this most likely was just a tragic accident," he said.
    Moore nor her three daughters -- 26-year-old Rumer, 23-year-old Scout, and 21-year-old Tallulah -- were at the house when the incident occurred. According to police, Moore's assistant had thrown a small party.
