- Story Text: Chelsea enjoyed a somewhat fortuitous return to winning ways at the weekend when they beat Aston Villa in the Premier League but their fragile self-confidence will face a far more severe test at Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League on Tuesday (October 20).
Mourinho is in Kiev for the second time in less than two weeks after watching Spain beat Ukraine 1-0 in the Olimpiysky Stadium on Oct. 12 where he would have taken note of the threat posed by Kiev striker Andriy Yarmolenko.
"We sat down and sorted out why it happened that way and now we are getting ready with a calm consciousness for tomorrow's game," said Yarmolenko at a news conference.
After their worst start to a domestic league season for 37 years, Jose Mourinho's men travel to Ukraine for their Group G qualifier having won one and lost one of their two games.
Dynamo top the group with four points, the same as Porto, followed by Chelsea on three and Maccabi Tel Aviv on zero.
"I think what we've taken from English football, probably what is the most important thing in English football is the intensity of the game. There they don't give you even two or three seconds to think, there they straight away take you over and probably that is a feature of all English teams including Chelsea, and I think we strive to be like this as well," said Dynamo coach Serhiy Rebrov.
A win against Kiev will not only help swing the initiative in the group Chelsea's way, but also prove they may be getting back on track after their below-par campaign so far. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
