- Story Text: The house where Paralympic gold medallist Oscar Pistorius shot dead his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp is now set to be used as a party venue by two local businessmen.
In recently released video footage business partners David Scott, 33, and Kagiso Mokopane, 23, can be seen giving a candid tour of the house, beers in hand, explaining their plans for the building. The pair will be renting the house from owner and mining consultant Louwtjie Louwrens, who bought the house for 4.5 million rand ($334,000).
Pistorius had to sell his house to pay for mounting legal fees during his trial.
He was convicted for culpable murder for killing his 29-year-old girlfriend in the house on February 14, 2013. He fired four shots through a closed bathroom door, allegedly mistaking Steenkamp for intruders.
He was sentenced to five years in jail and was set to be released on parole in August, but the process has been delayed.
During the tour of the house, the two men exhibit the crime scene and give brief accounts of Pistorius's version of events.
The pair plan to host parties at the house on weekends, claiming it is perfect for entertaining people. - Copyright Holder: FILE REUTERS (CAN SELL)
