A captive elephant went on a rampage on Thursday (July 05), killing its handler in Isha Nagar village of India's central Madhya Pradesh state.
According to locals, the elephant continued its rampage for around five hours uprooting trees and electricity polls.
Police and forest officials rushed to the spot but could not tame the elephant and failed to bring the situation under control until late night.
Failing to overcome the situation, a 12-member team of experienced forest officials from Panna National Park were called on the spot.
