The reason why people say it's intense is because you have got two teams that are operating in a very high profile environment. But I think both teams are fully aware of that and as I have said many times before, we are really focussing on our internal processes at the moment. What we need to do is, each as individuals in terms of his own plans, understanding how the Australians might try to play against us and equally what our plans are to play against them. So each guy is working internally, quite extensively at the moment and making sure that, you know, he is ready for whatever is thrown at him, come the 9th of October" INDIA'S MUNAF PATEL BOWLING TO SACHIN TENDULKAR

- Story Text: India's national cricket coach, Gary Kirsten, said on Friday (October 3) that the four test home series against Australia is going to be competitive and intense.
The squad trained under Kirsten's supervision on Friday at Bangalore's Chinnaswamy Stadium, where the first test begins on Thursday (October 9).
Indian selectors have retained former captain Saurav Ganguly in a 15-player squad named on Wednesday for the first two games of the series.
Ganguly, 36, had been under pressure to keep his place alongside batting stalwarts Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Vangipurappu Laxman.
The selectors have also included middle-order batsman Subramaniam Badrinath, who has played three one-dayers for India and leg spinner Amit Mishra as back up for captain Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh.
Wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni also returns.
Speaking to journalists during Friday's practice session, Kirsten said both the Indians and Australians operate in a very high profile environment.
"It's going to be a very competitive series. So each guy is working internally, quite extensively at the moment and making sure that, you know, he is ready for whatever is thrown at him, come the 9th of October."
The second game starts in Mohali on October 17 and New Delhi and Nagpur host the last two matches. - Copyright Holder: ANI (India)
