- Story Text: The New Zealand cricket squad holds a rigorous practice session in Ahmedabad ahead of the first Test against the in-form India.
New Zealand's cricketers are gearing themselves up to take on India in the first Test match to be played in Motera, Gujarat, starting on Thursday (November 4).
The Kiwis were sweating in the nets at the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) Academy in the state capital Ahmedabad on Sunday (October 31), after arriving late on Saturday.
Under the captaincy of Daniel Vettori, New Zealand team will play three Tests and five One Day Internationals (ODIs) against India over six weeks.
The second Test will be played from November 12 to 16 in Hyderabad, in Andhra Pradesh, with the third in Nagpur in Maharashtra from November 20.
The ODI series starts on November 28, with the first match to be played in Guwahati.
The New Zealanders are keen to restore credibility after a 4-0 ODI series thrashing at the hands of minnows Bangladesh. The tour of the region is part of
