- Story Text: Japanese royal couple Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko were greeted at a Japanese school in New Delhi on Tuesday (December 3), while on a six-day visit to India.
Students welcomed the couple with musical performances, including dance and a drumming ceremony.
The visit is aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between the two Asian nations and discussing strategic partnerships.
