The other three suspects were named as Houshan Afshar, Syed Ali Mehdi Sadr and Mohammad Reza Abolghasemi.
Speaking to journalists at a news conference in New Delhi, the city's police commissioner, Brijesh Gupta said that during his interrogation, Kazmi confessed of having contacts with people of Iranian origin and having assisted them to research the areas near the Israel embassy.

Gupta said, "He has been arrested on the charges of being a facilitator and being part of the entire conspiracy and having knowledge of it. During further examination of Mohammed Ahmed Kazmi by the police during his 20-day remand he confessed that he was in contact with people of Iranian origin."
Gupta also said that Kazmi and an Iranian contact, searched the area around the Israeli embassy on a scooter before deciding to target the embassy's diplomats.
"He also disclosed that at the insistence of Syed Ali Sadr Mehndi, a person of Iranian origin, he was introduced to Houshan Afshar and he along with an Iranian recced the area around the Israel embassy. They used a scooter for this recce, which was procured by Houshan Afshar. During this recce they decided to target Israeli diplomats."
The February 13 blast, which wounded an Israeli defence attach's wife, her driver and two others, coincided with a foiled attack on Israeli diplomatic staff in Tbilisi, Georgia, and Israel has said both were engineered by Iran. - Copyright Holder: ANI (India)
