- Story Text: Argentine President Cristina Ferndez on Friday (September 6) held talks with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the sidelines of the ongoing annual G20 summit in St. Petersburg to strengthen bilateral and economic relations.
The meeting comes months after India's Foreign Minister, Salman Khurshid, visited the Latin American nation and discussed issues relating to co-operation in the fields of science and agriculture.
Singh and Ferndez were joined by a small team of delegates from both countries.
With Indian investment in Argentina totalling around $930 million, organic chemicals, garments, and vehicle auto parts are some of the essential items that are exported to the Latin American country.
