- Story Text: The Zimbabwe cricket team have been contining their preparations for 2011 World Cup trophy with a net session in India's southern city of Chennai on Friday (February 11).
The team is led by Elton Chigumbura, and other team members are Brendan Taylor, Regis Chakabva, Charles Coventry, Graeme Cremer, Craig Ervine, Sean Ervine, Gregory Lamb, Shingirai Masakadza, Tatenda Taibu (wicket keeper), Edward Rainsford, Prosper Utseya, Raymond Price, Christopher Mpofu and Sean Williams.
Their first match on the subcontinent will be a warm up against neighbours South Africa on Saturday (February 12).
The Zimbabweans face a tough qualifying group with includes Australia, who have won the last three tournaments, and former winners Pakistan and Sri Lanka. New Zealand, Kenya and Canada are also in Group A.
Playing in their eighth World Cup, Zimbabwe's first group game will be against Ricky Ponting's Australia on February 21 in the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The ICC World Cup 2011 kicks off in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka on February 19 with a match between India and Bangladesh who are co-hosting the six week tournament along with Sri Lanka. - Copyright Holder: ANI (India)
