British Prime Minister Theresa May donned a saree - traditional Indian dress - when she visited the renowned Someshwara Temple in Bengaluru city of India's southern Karnataka state on Tuesday (November 08).
May offered prayers to the Hindu god Shiva on the last leg of her two-day visit to India.
Priests presented her with a statue of Shiva in his dancing avatar as a memento.
May's first bilateral trip outside Europe since Britons voted on June 23 to quit the European Union is aimed at boosting trade links and calming New Delhi's concerns over immigration.
The British prime minister on Monday (November 7) described as "limitless" the potential of the relationship with India and its market of 1.3 billion people. - Copyright Holder: ANI (India)
