- Story Text:Malaysian police handed out photographs of missing Irish teen Nora Anne Quoirin to locals on Friday (August 9) in the town of Seremban after prayers.
Quoirin, 15, disappeared from a holiday resort in Seremban, a town about 70 km (44 miles) south of Malaysia's capital of Kuala Lumpur, on Sunday (August 4).
"We have conducted our Friday prayers, we are asking for Allah's help in finding the missing person, Nora," said Sembilan State's deputy police chief, Che Zakaria Othman.
Heartbreaking audio of Quoirin's mother calling out for her 'Nora darling' was played over and over in the dense forest reserve near where she vanished on Friday.
The search area was expanded on Thursday (August 8), and police have yet to find any clues as to her whereabouts. Some local indigenous people told Malaysian media that they believe she is not in the area anymore.
