- Story Text: It was time for Romelu Lukaku to leave Manchester United according to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Norwegian told a news conference Friday (August 9) that both the club and player were happy with Lukaku's move to Inter Milan to go ahead and that he thinks United got a 'good deal'.
Lukaku, who scored 28 Premier League goals over two seasons for United, signed with the Italian side, now managed by former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, in a deal reported by local media at 80 million euros ($89.61 million).
Solskjaer believes his current set of attackers, including Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard, can step up and score goals in place of Lukaku.
The United manager also talked up his team's summer signings, which include young Welsh talent Dan James and England defender Harry Maguire, and praised Paul Pogba's 'fantastic' attitude after the French World Cup winner was heavily linked with a move away from the club over the summer.
