After sitting down for talks, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer told reporters the two countries were in agreement on the importance of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, saying it remained a "good foundation for peaceful co-existence."
Safadi said he welcomed Germany's support for the solution and thanked the country for its commitment to supporting Palestinian refugees through the work of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).
During her visit, Kramp-Karrenbauer is also expected to meet with Jordan's King Abdullah and to visit Bundeswehr soldiers who have been based at the al-Azraq base in northern Jordan as part of the U.S. led campaign against Islamic State.
