That is what the leaders don't like. To them it is: 'I do not know you, you do not know me,' so they want to create war. Here there are people we now see as our family." - Story Text: Around 1,000 lovers of all things medieval set camp in a forest beneath the walled, XV century Serbian Orthodox monastery between Friday (August 23) and Monday for the 2019 edition of the "Just Out" festival. People from 24 countries arrived to show to thousands of visitors their medieval weapons, arts, crafts and food or let them try on armour and try their hand at archery or spear throwing.
But combat remains the high point of the festival. On Saturday, five-man teams battled it out in a tiny rink, delivering hard blows to their rivals and ganging up on those left standing. The rules are brutal - everything but stabbing and hitting body parts unprotected by armour or mesh is allowed. One combatant required medical assistance after suffering a back injury. The one-on-one tournament was due on Sunday.
The festival, expanded from two to four days since last year, is held annually in the last week of August since 2015.
