I think our song is great but I think that people don't like us. It doesn't help that we're an island and we've got no neighbours." NOLAN: "Well, there's France, they're our neighbour." BAKER: "Well they hate us." NOLAN: "Ireland's our neighbour." ASTON: "They don't generally vote this way." NOLAN: "I'm quite thankful to Ireland because they gave us the 10 points when we did it. It was 37 years ago I have to admit, but we don't talk about that." (LAUGHS) ASTON AND BAND BEING INTERVIEWED (SOUNDBITE) (English) MIKE NOLAN, CHERYL BAKER, JAY ASTON, POP BAND 'THE FIZZ', FORMERLY 'BUCKS FIZZ', SAYING: ASTON: "I don't think we can, I don't think we can win it over. I really don't think we can put anything in that they're going to go 'oh yes, really we should change our mind about Britain, the UK." BAKER: "Even if Ed Sheeran was in, I don't think we would win." ASTON: "We've got some of the biggest artists in the world of all time and yet in Eurovision we're a joke."

- Story Text: Jay Aston, one of the stars of eighties British pop band Bucks Fizz, has been selected as a parliamentary candidate for the Eurosceptic Brexit party, it was announced on Tuesday (August 27).
The 58-year-old will run to be a member of parliament in the London seat of Kensington, currently held by Labour, the BBC reported.
She was announced by party leader Nigel Farage as one of 635 candidates at an event in London.
Bucks Fizz won the Eurovision Song Contest 1981 with their UK number one single "Making Your Mind Up", before Aston left in 1985.
She now performs with her former bandmates Cheryl Baker and Mike Nolan as 'The Fizz'.
