- Story Text: U.S. Vice President Michael Pence signed a joint declaration with Poland on 5G network security on Monday (September 2).
Pence and Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki signed the document and posed for photographs before the vice president wrapped up a two-day visit to the country, which included commemorations to mark 80 years since the start of World War Two in Poland.
Ireland, Iceland and Britain are the next stops on Pence's European trip.
The United States has been putting pressure on its allies to exclude Chinese telecoms giant Huawei from the roll-out of 5G mobile networks.
