And I just really admire people like that, and I think this is a struggle we do together and when we stand together we can accomplish anything. It's so incredibly important. And even though I have taken a sabbatical year from school, I have said that I am going to demonstrate every Friday no matter where I am. So that's what I am doing now. And thank you to everyone who is here and to everyone who has been striking and organizing. And to everyone who has been striking today I know we are the last ones because of the time zones. So thank you to everyone who has been striking today as well." And to see her here is amazing. And the fact that she's done so much, as just being one person, not giving in to all the corporate like companies. She's just been like... paved the way for lots of strikers including me and it's just amazing to see her here." (SOUNDBITE) (English) CLIMATE CHANGE ACTIVIST, ELLA, SAYING: "It really just like makes us, makes me feel like what I'm doing is working and it's actually worth something. And to see all of the press and just like the amount of supporters, it's just like makes us feel like all of the work that we've been doing is actually worth it. And it's so incredible to actually see her. I've seen so many videos of her. I saw this video of Greta and it like made me want to start doing this here. And so just to be like with her is so incredible and moving." VARIOUS OF THUNBERG AT PROTEST

- Story Text: Swedish teenage activist Greta Thunberg took her weekly campaign for greater action on climate change to the gates of the United Nations on Friday (September 6).
Along with about two dozen other student climate activists, the group held protest signs reading "school strike 4 climate" and "as the oceans rise, so will we!" The small group gathered outside the United Nations and later marched to a park near the building.
Thunberg, 16, started missing school on Fridays a year ago to protest outside the Swedish parliament, sparking a global climate strike movement known as Fridays for Future. Her school strike has inspired students all over the world.
"I think this is a struggle we do together and when we stand together we can accomplish anything, she said.
Ella, a 13-year-old climate change activist inspired by Thunberg who did not want to give her name, said "This is my future that I'm going to be living in. I really want to have a future. I want to be able to live my life. And the fact that I at the moment I maybe cannot that scares me."
Fellow 13-year-old activist Cleo Vanhaaften said she joined the movement and began striking on Fridays 30 weeks ago.
