- Story Text: U.S. "Downton Abbey" fans will get to see the movie adaptation of the television period drama on Friday (September 20), which the cast has called; welcoming, joyous and love.
"Not much has changed until a letter arrives from the king and queen saying that they are coming to Downton. So, it's a great story because it involves every single character that you love in the show and they all have a role to play in this great occasion that's about to take place at Downton," said actress Michelle Dockery.
The film is set in 1927 and continues the story about a British household in the early 20th century.
The award-winning show first aired in 2011 and went on for six seasons, gaining a huge following in Britain and the United States.
