- Story Text:Always put your phone on silent when covering an All Blacks news conference. That's a lesson learned by a member of the media on Monday (September 30) after All Blacks prop Angus Ta'avao chose to pick up a phone, which the reporter had placed on the table to record the news conference, and spoke to the caller.
"We're in the middle of a media conference, do you mind if you call back in half an hour?", he said in front of a laughing crowd of reporters.
Reporters routinely leave their phones in front of players during news conferences so as to record what is being said.
