- Story Text: Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani met on Tuesday (October 1) at the sidelines of Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting in Yerevan, Armenia.
Putin said that nuclear deal as well as the situation in the Middle East region in general would be the subjects of talks between the leaders.
This session of Supreme Council is timed to mark the fifth anniversary of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Apart from Putin and Rouhani, the leaders of the EAEU member states such as Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, as well as Prime Minister of Singapore, leaders of Moldova and Tajikistan took part in the meeting.
