- Story Text: Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte held talks with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Wednesday (October 2).
Duterte arrived in Russia for a four-day visit on Tuesday (October 1) and is expected to travel to the Black Sea resort of Sochi where he will join Russia's Vladai discussion club of experts and meet President Vladimir Putin on Thursday (October 3).
This is Duterte's second visit to Russia following his first trip in 2017 which was cut short due to an attack in southern Philippines that forced him to return sooner.
Medvedev said that during Duterte's visit a number of documents on cooperation between the two countries will be signed.
