- Story Text:U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Stephen Biegun departed Sweden's foreign ministry on Friday (October 4) ahead of expected talks with North Koreans over Pyongyang's nuclear programme.
A delegation from North Korea arrived in the Swedish capital on Friday for this weekend's talks.
Biegun was accompanied by Sweden's special envoy to North Korea Kent Harstedt before departing by car.
The meeting in Stockholm will be the first formal working-level talks since U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un met in June, vowing to restart negotiations that had stalled after their failed summit in February.
