- Story Text: Mexican authorities on Tuesday (October 08) were undertaking the grim work of searching the grounds of an infamous prison in northern Mexico for the graves of missing prisoners.
Canine detection units and forensic specialists with ground-penetrating radar could be seen sweeping the now-closed 'Topo Chico' prison in the city of Monterrey.
The Nuevo Leon state government said the search was conducted in response to demands of family members of prisoners who have gone missing at the shuttered facility.
State authorities said no bodies have been found as of Tuesday, but an extensive search is planned.
