It's has a great tradition, despite the players not being able to participate. We also have players not being able to play, who are very important. It is a very important test for us. And it is a match that is very important to the players that are playing tomorrow and their careers. And we see whether they are able to withstand the pressure playing against such a strong opponent like Germany. We expect a match where Germany will have a certain way to play, a very offensive way to play. And they can play this way or that way. But always offensive. And we will be trying to prevent Germany from playing offensively. And I hope that we be able to draw the right conclusions after all the players that won’t be able to play. It is a very important test. To also test important alternatives." VARIOUS OF FORWARD PAULO DYBALA KICKING BALL ONLOOKER PITCH

- Story Text: Five years after the World Cup final Germany and Argentina will meet on Wednesday (October 9) for a friendly international.
Argentina will play without FIFA world footballer of the year Lionel Messi, who is serving a three-month international ban after levelling accusations of "corruption" at South American soccer chiefs during the Copa America.
But the Barcelona star isn't the only notable absentee with Angel di Maria, Sergio Aguero and Mauro Icardi also not part of the squad.
On the German side, Jonathan Tah and Ilkay Gundogan are ruled out, while Marco Reus is doubtful, coach Joachim Loew said on Tuesday, keeping expectations low for his makeshift team.
The Germans are without close to a dozen players, including injured Toni Kroos, Leroy Sane, Antonio Ruediger, Timo Werner Leon Goretzka and Matthias Ginter among others.
