- Story Text: Climate change activists descended on London's City Airport on Thursday (October 10) in an attempt to disrupt operations as part of two weeks of civil disobedience to push for more to be done to protect the environment.
Dozens of activists were arrested as they attempted to occupy the airport. Two activists climbed onto the roof of the airport while others glued themselves to the ground outside.
London City is the capital's fifth-biggest - and most central - airport, popular with business travellers, bankers and politicians for short-haul and regional routes.
