- Story Text: Elle honored a new class at its annual Women in Hollywood event in Beverly Hills, California on Tuesday (October 15).
Actresses Natalie Portman, Zendaya, Scarlett Johansson, Mindy Kaling, Gwyneth Paltrow and filmmakers Lena Waithe and Melina Matsoukas were celebrated at the star-studded ceremony.
A year after the popularity of the #MeToo movement, the women spoke about how they support each other.
"Working hard trying to have integrity, trying to be kind and take care of other people and still put the stories that come from within and do the work. And never take anything for granted. That's what I try to do as a woman in Hollywood," said Kidman.
For Scarlett Johansson it's all about lifting each one another up.
"It moves the cause forward and makes a better life for everybody. So, it feels very special to be here with all my colleagues."
Also in attendance were actresses Jameela Jamil, Diane Lane and Issa Rae.
