French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed a Brexit agreement between the British government and the European Union as "good news" on Thursday (October 17) ahead of a summit of EU leaders.
Speaking at a pre-summit meeting of liberal politicians, Macron told reporters that past experience of the process lead him to be cautious, saying it was now up to Prime Minister Boris Johnson to guide the deal through the British parliament.
