- Story Text: Churchgoers attending service at the Heilig Kreuz Kirche in Munich on Sunday (October 20) were the first to see the temple's new windows, designed with hundreds of thorax x-ray pictures.
Printed in blue on light-blue glass, the little community welcomed their acquisition with a celebratory mass.
Some of the x-rays, covering all the windows in the apse and and the choir, belong to parishioners themselves and are meant to be a symbol of life, according to artist Christoph Brech.
Opinions among churchgoers were diverse.
The artist studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. Much of his work is related to the themes of time, and physical and spiritual transitions.
