- Story Text:Indonesian President Joko Widodo met Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah in Jakarta on Sunday (October 20) ahead of the inauguration ceremony as Widodo is set to take office for his second term.
The inauguration ceremony came after a presidential election that was marred by violence, allegations of vote-rigging and a court hearing.
Widodo promised to open up investment opportunities in a country where red tape and vested interests remain a potent force discouraging foreign capital and to reform the country's unwieldy bureaucracy.
Leaders and representatives from United States, China, Australia, Malaysia, Brunei, Cambodia are expected to join the ceremony starts at 2 p.m. local time (0700GMT).
