- Story Text: Gornyy Kartsa, a small village bosomed among the mountain gorges of North Ossetia with only a few dozen residents, changed its quiet pace with the arrival of Dzebisov family and their herd.
A young couple from Vladikavkaz, Taymuraz and Zarina Dzebisov, decided to move high up in the mountains with their two daughters to start a small eco-business.
With a grant provided by the regional government, the young entrepreneurs purchased two hundred cattle of famous Scottish meat breed Aberdeen Angus.
The locals, mostly elderly people, show their traditional hospitality, treating Dzebisov to home made cheese and are ready to help with advice, however they also remind that life in the mountains is no bed of roses.
"Haymaking and animal husbandry is very hard work", says Svetlana Dzugaeva, who is famous in the neighborhood for her home-made liquor, adding that Dzebisov is working hard and perhaps has a chance.
Still, Dzebisov family do not loose enthusiasm, they plan to expand the herd to a thousand heads, organise an agricultural community with six other families and to invite tourists to the picturesque valley for pleasure and for good health.
