- Story Text: Hundreds of women commemorated Chile's National Day against Femicide Thursday (December 19) by performing the "Un violador en tu camino" piece, or "A rapist in your path" as it is known in English.
In a performance that has gone viral and spread around the world, women protest against rape, sexism, and impunity.
The protest piece was first performed by Chilean feminist collective Las Tesis and has since spread to countries like Mexico, Brazil, France and Turkey.
Chile has commemorated the National Day against Femicide since 2005 as a tribute to female victims of violence.
