- Story Text: A five-meter crocodile suspected of killing people was captured in Indonesia on Monday (December 30).
Locals believe the crocodile caught in Lambiku Village in Sulawesi killed two villagers last week. Another person was found dead in August 2018, according to local reports.
Officials found the bodies and belongings of the two recent victims in the river.
The captured crocodile will be sent to the regional police office and then it will be handed over to the Conservation and Natural Resource Center (BKSDA), officials said.
According to BKSDA, the crocodiles have started appearing near settlements due to changes in weather patterns and also human incursions into the habitat of the reptiles. At least a dozen saltwater crocodiles live near Lambiku Village.
