- Story Text: Berlin police were investigating an incident after a shot was fired on Monday (December 30) in an attempted armed robbery at a store in the German capital.
Witnesses near a cafe at Checkpoint Charlie said they had heard gun shots.
Buildings in Berlin's city centre were surrounded and the area cordoned off, but soon the police tweeted they were in control of the situation.
