- Story Text:Paris woke to its first business day of new coronavirus restrictions on Monday (March 16), with shops and cafes shuttered up along the Champs Elysees.
The government on Saturday order the closure of all non-essential public spaces, with exceptions made for food stores, pharmacies and tobacconists.
The number of deaths in France from the coronavirus increased by more than a third on Sunday to 127 and over 5,400 have been infected.
