- Story Text: Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez held a summit with South Korean President Park Geun-hye in Seoul on Monday (July 20) to promote cooperation between the two countries.
The two leaders were expected to discuss ways to expand bilateral ties, and also exchange opinions about international and regional issues, the South Korean presidential office said.
After the meeting, Hernandez and Park observed while ministers from the two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation in various sectors, including energy and public security, the presidential office added.
Earlier in the day, Hernandez visited the national cemetery in Seoul to pay tribute to soldiers who died during the 1950-53 Korean War.
Hernandez arrived in South Korea on Sunday (July 19) for a four-day visit to the country.
