- Story Text: Worshippers defied a Kenyan government order banning public gatherings to attend a Palm Sunday service at their pastor's home on Sunday (April 5).
Pastor Gladys Maloba hosted members of the Nabii Christian Church of East Africa (NCCEA) from a small room in her house in the Kibera slums of Nairobi, despite the government banning gatherings in order to stop the spread of coronavirus.
From March 27, Kenya has had a night-time curfew in place from 19:00 (1600 GMT) to 05:00 (0200 GMT).
The African nation had 142 confirmed cases of coronavirus as of Sunday (April 5), among which four had died.
