- Story Text: Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk was in Washington for the first U.S.-Ukraine investment summit on Monday (July 13).
Yatsenyuk said the summit marked a "new page" in U.S.-Ukraine bilateral relations, after meeting with Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
Blinken reaffirmed the United State's support for Kiev and said the U.S. was excited to discuss business opportunities with Ukraine. He also applauded Ukraine's efforts to root out corruption.
"The extraordinary efforts of the prime minister, of President Poroshenko, to move Ukraine forward on reforms - financial, economic, political - especially in the incredibly challenging environment in which they're operating, has the admiration of the Administration and the American people."
