- Story Text: Stars glistened on the red carpet as they arrived in Paris to celebrate the 80th anniversary of cosmetics and perfume brand Lancome Tuesday (July 7) night.
The lavish anniversary party took place in the Casino de Paris, which regaled its VIP guests with soft pink lights and an entire wall of fresh roses.
It also marked the first time Lancome's six beauty ambassadors - Julia Roberts, Lupita Nyong'o, Penelope Cruz, Lily Collins, Kate Winslet and Isabella Rossellini - were together in the same room.
The six women spoke with InStyle beauty editor Kahlana Barfield before the party about what it meant to them to represent the beauty icon.
"The first thing I remember of any sort of campaign ever as a young woman looking to idolize a goddess was Isabella (Rossellini) doing Lancome. I can see the campaign in my mind so perfectly. And I just thought, wow." Roberts said.
Oscar-winning Roberts has been a Lancome ambassador since 2010.
Rossellini was once quoted saying landing a Lacome contract was like "winning the lottery" and her younger counterparts agreed.
"It doesn't feel like a job," said Oscar-winner Kate Winslet. "It really doesn't feel like that and it does feel like a celebration of women of all these ages that we all are. And so it is wonderful to be able to be here and talk about that and to show everybody that this is what we look like and we are real people and we are accessible and touchable and loveable."
Other stars who attended the event included Australian singer Kylie Minogue, who performed later in the night and model Chrissy Teigen and her husband, singer John Legend. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
