  • Story Text: NBA basketball star Jeremy Lin spoke to media about his most recent training routine on Monday (June 29) after a season as a point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers.
    Lin said that after feeling "burnt out" from a tiring season, his enthusiasm for the game has returned after a three-week rest.
    "After last season ended, I was burnt out. I didn't want to practise. So I went on holiday for three weeks. And then my enthusiasm for basketball came back. So from May 16 started practising every day," Lin told media at a promotional event in Taipei, Taiwan.
    An undrafted and overlooked Ivy League player, Lin burst on to the scene in his second NBA season with a 25-point, seven-assist performance off the bench against the Nets on Feb. 4, 2012, and went on to amass 136 points in his next five starts.
    Fan frenzy or 'Linsanity' came during that sizzling run with a career-high 38-point display on a memorable Friday night against the Lakers at Madison Square Garden.
    Lin, whose parents immigrated to the U.S. from Taiwan, will be spending the rest of the week in Taipei, where he plans to hold several press conferences as well as attend several charity and fan events.
