  • Story Text: German chancellor Merkel Angela on Monday (June 29) informed both parliamentary groups of the coalition about the results of the emergency meeting of German party and parliamentary leaders in the Chancellery about the situation in Greece.
    Merkel played down prospects of a breakthrough with Greece in the coming days, but said she stood ready to restart talks with the government in Athens after a planned referendum on Sunday (July 5).
