  • Story Text: U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry was airlifted out of a Geneva hospital on Monday (June 1) before being flown back to Boston in a military hospital.
    Kerry, 71, broke his right leg on Sunday (May 31) in an accident while cycling a portion of the Tour de France route in the Haute Savoie region.
    He remained in Geneva's University Hospital overnight for observation before being transported from the hospital to the U.S for further treatment to his fractured femur.
    Kerry, who was in Geneva for negotiations on Saturday with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, has cancelled planned visits to Madrid and Paris this week following his fall.
