- Story Text: The French capital welcomed the King and Queen of Spain, Felipe VI and Letizia, on Tuesday (June 2) as they resumed an official state visit that was cut short by the deadly Germanwings plane crash in March.
The royal couple was greeted by French President Francois Hollande and Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo in a ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier under Paris' Arc de Triomphe.
Felipe and Letizia will attend a state dinner at the Elysee Palace Tuesday night and Felipe will later present an award to emergency officials who worked to clear the debris from the crash site of the Germanwings Airbus A320 in the French Alps.
