- Story Text: The sun was shining in the German capital on Friday (June 5) as it readied itself to host the Champions League final between Barcelona and Juventus on Saturday.
The final will be played at the Olympic Stadium, which was originally built for the 1936 summer Olympics, and starts at 1845 GMT.
As is customary before a Champions League final, UEFA, under its grassroots programme, donated a pitch to the host city.
This year, the Koppenplatz primary school was the lucky receiver and former Brazilian team captain Cafu attended the ceremony which was followed by a tournament for boys and girls.
The annual UEFA Champions Festival takes place at Berlin's landmark Brandenburg Gate where fans have been gathering to watch youth football, play matches themselves and watch various performances. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
